How to use ELegendz

🧭Getting around

1. Tap the ELegendz logo at the top to go Home.
2. Tap your picture at the top right to open your profile.
3. Tap the ☰ menu button for everything else: Upload, Playlists, Messages, Radocast and more.

▶Video control bar

1. Open any video or song. The control bar sits right under the player.
2. ▶ plays, ❚❚ pauses.
3. Drag the bar to jump to any spot in the song or video.
4. 🔊 mutes and unmutes. On a computer you can also slide the volume.
5. Tap Repeat. It turns gold when it's on, and the video starts over when it ends.
6. ⛶ opens full screen.

iPhones don't let websites change the volume. Use your phone's volume buttons, and Mute still works.

🎵Playlists

1. Under a song or video, tap + Playlist (or + Add to playlist).
2. Tap one of your playlists to add it. You'll see "Added to …". If it's already there, you'll see "Already in …".
3. To make a new one, tap + New playlist, type a name, then tap Create. The song goes into it too.
4. Changed your mind? Tap Remove next to the playlist.
5. Open a playlist and press ▶ Play. The player at the top plays song after song, and YouTube songs play right in it too.
6. The songs go down the page under Up next. The gold row is playing now. Tap any row to jump to that song.
7. The Repeat button cycles through All (start over at the end), One (repeat this song) and Off.
8. Tap Next playlist to jump to another playlist.

Find all your playlists in the menu under Playlists.

👤Your profile: categories & location

1. Open your profile and tap Edit profile.
2. For categories, start typing (for example "hip") and pick from the list. You can add several.
3. Tap Change location and type your ZIP code, then save. Your city shows when it is saved.
4. Search now shows people in your categories first. Tap Show everyone to see all.

🔗Share an artist or a battle

1. Artist: open their profile and use the Share buttons in the Share this profile box.
2. Battle: in Brackets or a tournament, tap Share under the person in the match.
3. Your phone's share menu opens. On a computer, the link is copied for you instead.
4. Friends who open the link land on that battle, with your pick highlighted.

📊Stream counter

1. Each song and video shows how many streams it has, for example "1,234 streams".
2. A play counts when the sound is on and it really plays, including YouTube videos.
3. Replaying over and over doesn't add extra streams. Each listener counts once per half hour.

🎙Radocast: pick your songs

1. On Start a show, first pick 🎙 Voice mode (talking) or 🎵 Music mode (singing or playing). The gold one is on. Then tap Record or Upload.
2. The mode is used while you record. If you change it after, tap Record again to use the new mode.
3. After you record or upload, press play on the player under "Great! You recorded?" to listen, then tap Publish my show to put it live for everyone.
4. To share an episode, open it and tap 📤 Share: it sends the episode link (with its picture and title) to any app. Want a video instead? Tap Download clip for a square video of the first half of the show (up to 10 minutes) with the host's picture, the title and a "Finish the show on ELegendz" ending. The full show plays only on ELegendz. Hosts can pick a different clip picture on the episode page.
5. Come back to an episode later and tap Resume at mm:ss to pick up where you stopped (saved on that device). Breaks never start right after you resume or jump ahead.
6. Start a show in Radocast. You'll see Pick your songs (optional) if you're allowed to pick.
7. Tap the ELegendz songs you want played on your show.
8. You don't need to place them. ELegendz puts the songs and the short breaks between talk parts for you, in order.
9. If you skip this step, ELegendz picks the music for you.

📢Advertise your business

1. Open the menu and tap Advertise.
2. See the weekly price for your area and listen to a sample ad.
3. Send your details on that page. ELegendz will get back to you to set up your ad.

Local ads play only for listeners in the areas the business picks.

📰Top banner

1. The moving line under the top menu shows news from ELegendz and local business messages.
2. Tap a message that has a link to open it.
3. Hold your finger on it, or point at it with the mouse, to pause it.
